The collection is inspired by British youth culture of the 1970s and 1980s. During this time, punk was born in England, along with its accompanying ideology, providing refuge for many young people who wanted to distance themselves from mainstream society. Punk offered teenagers a platform to rebel against the established system, conservative values, and the ruling politics. It was a form of expression that allowed them to voice their dissatisfaction with society and shape their own identity. The aggressive sounds, provocative lyrics, and striking appearance helped them stand apart from the mainstream culture.

In the 1980s, a time of economic uncertainty and political tensions under Margaret Thatcher's government, punk became a voice of political protest. Many punk bands addressed social injustices, unemployment, and the lack of prospects for young people in their songs. Tracks like "God Save the Queen" by the Sex Pistols became anthems of resistance against the establishment.

Punk fashion was also a crucial aspect of identity and protest. Through bold clothing, unconventional hairstyles like Mohawks, piercings, and striking makeup, young people set themselves apart from the masses and demonstrated their refusal to conform to societal norms.
